Baptist to host a month of events to honor and celebrate survivors during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Baptist Memorial Health Care will celebrate and honor the women who are fighting and who have won the battle against breast cancer with programming and events throughout the month of October.

“Breast cancer continues to be the most common cancer among women in the U.S., with the exception of skin cancer,” said Allison Bosse, administrator and chief executive officer of Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women and the Spence and Becky Wilson Baptist Children’s Hospital. “Detecting and treating breast cancer early saves lives. And Baptist is committed to helping women in our community access breast cancer screenings through our clinics and mobile mammography unit and by providing grant-funded mammograms for women who could not otherwise afford breast cancer screenings. It is our honor to provide these lifesaving services to the community, and we are grateful to the local organizations who join us in providing this vital service and honoring the incredible women in the midst of their breast cancer battle.”
